By using our website or booking services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

3. Services

Act and Ascend provides:

Adventure-based personal development and wellbeing activities (outdoor, team-based, or individual).
Psychology tutoring services (online or in-person).

Important: We do not provide regulated psychological therapy or medical treatment. Any advice or guidance is educational and informational only.

4. Eligibility

By booking our services, you confirm that you:

Are at least 18 years old, or have written parental/guardian consent if younger.
Are physically and mentally able to participate in activities.
Will disclose any relevant medical or physical conditions before participating.
Understand and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor and adventure activities.

5. Booking and Payment

All bookings and payments are made online via the Wix platform.
Prices are listed in GBP and may change at any time.
Bookings are confirmed only after full payment is received, unless otherwise specified.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

By You:

Cancellations more than 7 days before the session: full refund.
Cancellations up to 7 days before the session: 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 48 hours before the session: no refund.
Non-attendance: no refund.

By Us:
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, illness, or insufficient bookings. If we cancel, you may choose a full refund or rescheduled date.

7. Participant Responsibilities

Participants must:

Follow safety instructions at all times.
Use appropriate clothing and equipment.
Refrain from behaviour that endangers themselves or others.
Provide accurate information about health or learning needs.
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others in the group.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the session without refund.

8. Assumption of Risk

Adventure and outdoor activities carry inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge that:

You voluntarily assume these risks.
You are responsible for your own safety to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Act and Ascend is not liable for injuries caused by failure to follow safety guidance or engage responsibly.

9. Online Tutoring

Psychology tutoring is educational and informational. You are responsible for:

Ensuring you have suitable devices and internet access.
Maintaining confidentiality of any shared passwords or access links.
Applying your own judgement to any advice or material provided.

Tutoring sessions are not therapy or professional psychological treatment.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

However, to the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for:

Accidents due to failure to follow instructions
Loss or damage of personal belongings
Indirect or consequential losses
Actions taken based on website content or tutoring information

11. Website Use

You agree not to:

Use the website for unlawful purposes
Copy, distribute, or misuse content without permission
Attempt to compromise website security

All content remains the property of Act and Ascend unless otherwise stated.
